Reiki is a Japanese word "rei" meaning universal and" Ki" meaning life force energy. The Japanese word "Ki" is the same as the Chinese word "chi" and the sanskrit word "prana".

Reiki is technique of hands on healing during which practitioners work directly with Universal Life Force Energy, which promotes healing in both the self and others. Reiki is an ancient system traced back to Sitra documents 2500 years old.

It is believed that Reiki can relieve pain, boost the immune system and relieve acute problems. The primary theory is that physical manifestations of pain and illness are linked to emotional , mental and spiritual states. Because of this connection, pets that are easily stressed or that have behavior issues often improve with Reiki treatments.

An exam by a CARE veterinarian is not required to schedule Reiki treatments.
