Mary Collopy, CVT, CCRP

Mary has had a lifelong love of animals. She started her career as a pet groomer. When her beloved Boston terrier, Casey, was diagnosed with cancer she was compelled to search for more natural and alternative ways to care for her “fur babies”. This started a long, interesting and wonderful journey towards her love of canine rehabilitation. She pursued training in canine massage, acupressure, and hydrotherapy. During a training session in hydrotherapy, Mary had a life changing experience with a paralyzed daschund named Digger. After a week of hydrotherapy Mary took Digger out of the pool, placed him on the ground and he took four to five steps! Of course there were tears, goose bumps and the realization that, “wow, this is what I want to do with my life!” “Thank you, Casey, for starting my journey, I miss you.”

Mary graduated with honors as a Certified Veterinary Technician and earned her certification as a Canine Rehabilitation Practioner from the University of Tennessee.

She shares her home with three Boston terriers, Maggie, Elmer, and Nellie, and two cats, Murphy and Bailey.
